Chuột Đất Books Reading Station at Wisdom Garden Preschool: Exploring “Save Me A Share!” Together

Continuing the journey of the Chuột Đất Books Reading Station, on April 21, Chuột Đất Books joined the Book Day at Wisdom Garden Preschool for a lively reading session with the children.

This time, we brought along “Save Me A Share!”, a Vietnamese picture book that invites young readers into a warm and playful story about friendship and sharing through a cast of adorable animal characters.

A Reading Session That Goes Beyond Listening

At the Chuột Đất Books Reading Station, the children did not simply sit and listen to the story. They were invited to step right into its world.

Together, the children:

• Followed the story and discovered the journey of the characters in “Save Me A Share!”.

• Dressed up and took on the roles of characters from the book.

• Joined an interactive role-play activity, bringing the story to life through their own actions and responses.

In this way, the story was no longer something that simply stayed on the page. It became a space where the children could read, play and interact together.

Discovering Friendship and Sharing Through “Save Me A Share!”

Through the story of its animal characters, “Save Me A Share!” introduces young readers to familiar situations involving friendship and sharing. By taking on the roles of the characters and participating directly in the story, the children were able to experience the book in a more lively and engaging way rather than simply listening to an adult read aloud.

This is also what the Chuột Đất Books Reading Station hopes to create: bringing stories beyond the pages and into children’s experiences, so that every reading session can become a joyful and memorable moment.
